So quaint and cozy!

Smithville?! Who knew?! We dropped our daughter off at Winterfest Pine Cove camp in Columbus and wanted to stay nearby... we ended up finding the best kept secret in Texas! This house was super cute and charming. The kitchen had been updated and the beds were very comfy. It is also only a few blocks from Main Street, where you'll feel like you're in a movie set. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. We ate at the Comfort Cafe, which has great food and an even better back story. We visited Bone Spirits & Distillery, Rohan Meadery and ended our days at the Front Room Wine Bar. Definitely recommend!

Reminds me of Grandma's house

We just returned from our Smithville weekend. This home is Beautiful! It felt like we stepped back in time. It sits in an old town neighborhood with huge trees and quiet streets. My husband was there for work and I enjoyed feeling like I was in my grandparents house. My daughter came to visit and said it was her favorite vacation rental so far. Pretty impressive as we stayed in NYC in an apartment watching the Empire State Building change colors.

Very comfortable and our host was Great!!!

Beautiful, comfortable property!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gresham House in Smithville. The house was beautiful and well-maintained with plenty of spaces to visit and relax. Beds were extremely comfortable and bathrooms were very roomy. Perfect for our girls' weekend. Smithville was also a beautiful town with very welcoming shops and restaurants. We shopped antique stores and galleries; ate and drank in wonderful restaurants; and I was able to photograph the inside of a great building that was in the beginning stages of renovation. Would definitely come back to Smithville and stay at Gresham House again.

Beautiful home in friendly Smithville

We stayed at the Gresham house for 4 nights during the Formula One Grand Prix at Circuit of the Americas. Although the home is a ways from the track (40 minutes), it was well worth the drive. This home is beautifully decorated and very comfortable for two couples. Downtown Smithville is a short walk, and we thoroughly enjoyed the local coffee shop and the beautiful, quiet tree-lined streets. Many trains pass through Smithville at all hours, but we quickly became accustomed to the train horns that are just part of this small Texas town's charm. We've rented many homes, and this was absolutely in the top tier. Loved it!

Very relaxing!

Came to Smithville with my Mom to relax and eat good food. We sure hit the jackpot! The home was lovely and very clean. We loved going on walks in the neighborhood and eating in the local cafes and bakery. We were there four days and would definitely go back!

Charming Small Town Stay!

Had a wonderful stay at the Gresham House. The house has been beautifully redone with all the modern conveniences, but still managed to keep all of its historic charm and architectural elements. The town of Smithville is lovely and quaint. Within a few blocks and an easy stroll you can visit the small shops and local cafes for a true sense of small town life. Make sure and have breakfast or lunch at the Comfort Cafe (note: only opened on Friday, Saturday & Sunday). The food is great, but the story behind Comfort Cafe is even better. Ended up extending our stay (victims of the Round Top Antique Fair) and Julia was the most helpful and accommodating property manager that I have ever dealt with. Thanks again Julia for all your help - it was wonderful.

Love the Gresham House.

This was our second visit to the Gresham House, and again we loved it. The House is small enough for easy accessibility to all the rooms, but big enough to spread out. When you stay here, you feel like you are home. This will be our go to place in Smithville!

Don't forget Honey's Pizza. Delicious Neapolitan pizza, friendly service. The best restaurant in Smithville.
